2027 Proposed Budget & Public Budget Hearing

The Bone Mesa Domestic Water District has prepared its proposed budget for fiscal year 2027. In accordance with the Colorado Local Government Budget Law (C.R.S. § 29-1-101 et seq.), notice is given that:

• The proposed 2027 budget has been submitted to the Board of Directors and is available for public inspection. To request a copy, contact District Manager Jeremiah Garcia at (970) 822-3083 or jeremiah.bonemesawater@gmail.com.

• A public hearing on the proposed 2027 budget will be held during the District’s regular Board meeting on Tuesday, October 28, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., at 80 Samuel Wade Rd, Paonia, CO. Paonia's Public Library in the Community Room. All interested electors are welcome to attend.

• Any interested elector of the District may inspect the proposed budget and file or register objections to it at any time prior to its final adoption by contacting the District Manager at the phone number or email above.

• The Board intends to adopt the 2027 budget at or following the October 28 hearing. Under Colorado law, the budget must be adopted no later than December 15, 2026.
